A Happy Meeting Therapist

Your Meeting Therapist is a happy man! The planner registration for Florida Encounter is open and, despite the economy, the registrations are rolling in! It might be because we shortened the registration process significantly. Or it may be because we are offering (for the first time ever) a limited number of "scholarships". Even though the Florida Encounter $195 registration fee is a bargain that includes your travel AND accommodations, we have found that some organizations have curtailed spending on travel that would hinder you from attending Florida Encounter. Also, some of the very-qualified third-party planners I have been talking with have seen a decrease in business recently, we can't let this prohibit them from attending.

If you believe that you are in one of the situations described above – or something similar, we might be able to find you a scholarship sponsor. Several of our attending Florida suppliers have offered to pay the registration fee for one or more meeting professional(s). Just complete the Florida Encounter registration to see if you qualify. Once approved, send me an e-mail and I'll do my best to find you a sponsor.

Are you going to IT&ME/Motivation Show, IncentiveWorks or EIBTM this year? Be sure to stop by the Florida Section or Florida Stand and say hello to me. I have no idea if anybody reads this column but I like to think that I am hugely popular!

As always, contact me for more Florida meetings information at sbonda@VISITFLORIDA.org. Are you on Facebook and/or LinkedIn (come on, who isn't)? Join the ever-growing Florida Encounter groups on these networks to stay in the loop and network with other attendees before this event even starts!
